Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Prosa (prosa.page) is a web application for rewriting documents paragraph by paragraph. The data controller is the operator of Prosa, reachable at pageprosa@gmail.com.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: email address and profile name, provided directly or through Google OAuth.
• Document content: the texts you upload and rewrite within the app. Your document is divided into paragraphs so the AI editor can focus on each one, check its consistency, and save your progress automatically. Stored in our database so you can access them from any device.
• Usage data: basic information about how you use the app (active plan, account creation date) to manage your subscription.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the document rewriting and storage service.
• To manage your account and plan.
• To send you service-related communications (important changes, security).
• To improve the application through aggregated, anonymous usage analysis.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: database and authentication. Your data is stored on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit.
• Google OAuth: option to sign in with your Google account. We only access your name and email address.
• OpenRouter: AI routing service used for literary style analysis, available on all plans. Behavior varies by plan:
  • Free plan: texts are processed with publicly available free models. These models may use requests to improve or train their systems according to each provider's policies.
  • Standard and Pro plans: texts are processed exclusively with paid models. In general, commercial model providers publicly declare that data sent via API is not used to train models, though they may temporarily retain it for technical debugging or operational compliance purposes according to their own policies. Prosa does not independently verify or audit those practices and cannot offer any guarantee in this regard. We recommend not submitting sensitive or confidential information to any AI service.

  Note: documents you upload to Prosa are stored in our database (see Supabase section). What is sent to OpenRouter is only the paragraph text at the time of analysis. Prosa does not retain any additional copy of that request beyond what is already saved in your document.

5. Automatically Collected Technical Data

When you use Prosa, infrastructure servers may automatically log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and request timestamp. Prosa does not store or process this data directly; it is handled by our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Render) according to their own policies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all your data.
• Export your documents at any time from the app.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all your documents and personal data within a maximum of 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you by email if the changes are significant. The last updated date always appears at the top of this page.
